‘Feel the Need for Seed’ packages planting seeds for the vegetables beetroot, peas, and chilli. The packaging aims to promote planting vegetable seeds to anyone with access to a garden or planting bed. Its abstract shape of packaging, pop of colour and playful imagery of vegetables encourages a wider target audience to those who would usually purchase planting seeds.

One of the triangular faces of the packet includes a space for ’date planted’ and ‘date of harvest’, where the user can write when they planted and need to harvest their seeds. This face can be cut off and turned into a triangular tab, which can be placed into the soil next to their seedling. This will enable them to keep track of when the seed needs to be harvested and enhance the experience. A small dotted line placed in the upper-right corner of the front face encourages the user to cut along it to open the contents.
